Welcome to Mr Shifts Social: Coventry, the new space for all music producers to connect, share skills and create something new.
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, we invite you to come ready to flip some samples, mix some beats, and let your creativity flow.
On-demand
Sample flip competition
- Participants will have one hour to take a sample selected by Mr Shift and flip it into a 130-second song.
- The songs can either be played or performed live at the event.
- After one hour, all participants will share their songs with the group.
- The other participants will then vote on their favourite, with the top three receiving the most votes.
- There will be a separate vote for the overall winner.
- The winners will be announced at the end of the event.
Everyone should have the opportunity to participate and express themselves, so you are still welcome to join us even if you don’t want to enter the competition.
Open mic
An open mic set will also be set up for anyone who wants to perform, or just hang out and enjoy the music.
Network
This is an excellent opportunity to network with other artists and creatives and showcase your work. So whether you’re looking to participate or want to come and enjoy the atmosphere!
